Sunrise Medical HHG to roll out a new facility in Plainfield
Sunrise Medical HHG, a California-based, large-scale manufacturer of wheelchairs, crutches and other patient-care aids, is gearing up to roll out a new facility in Plainfield. Economic development officials, real estate experts, and government filings have hinted on this new development. The company is planning to leverage on Plainfield's excellent workforce, and its location. Commenting on the move Gov. Mitch Daniels said in the news release, that building an environment that will facilitate businesses like Sunrise to grow and thrive in Indiana is quite necessary for the state's economic success. The company will supposedly receive financial assistance, for creating new jobs. For instance, the Indiana Economic Development Corp. will shell out $250,000 in performance-based tax credits and a $36,000 grant to train workers. Additionally, Plainfield had agreed to a 10-year decreasing scale of property tax abatement for the Panatonni building, which is reportedly worth $436,000.
