Biotech Specialist Jobs

Biotech specialists range from technicians to R&D experts in the following disciplines and more: bioanalytical chemistry, bioengineering, computational biology/molecular modeling, genetics, medicinal chemistry, molecular/cellular biology, pharmacogenomics, synthetic organic chemistry, and toxicology.
Biotech specialists can be found working in/for: drug and pharmaceutical research, public funded laboratories, chemicals, environment control, waste management, energy, food processing & bio-processing industries.

Following is an insight into three of the many kinds of biotech specialists:
A clinical data specialist is responsible for collaborating with various departments on the design, documentation, testing and, implementation of clinical data studies. He/she develops systems for organizing data to analyze, identify, and report trends and also analyzes the interrelationships data and defines logical aspects of data sets.
An environmental health and safety specialist is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring industrial safety programs within the company. He/she inspects plant areas and evaluates new equipment and raw materials for safety, and monitoring employee exposure to chemicals and other toxic substances.
A regulatory affairs specialist coordinates and prepares document packages for submission to regulatory agencies, internal audits, and inspections. He/she compiles all material required for submissions, license renewals, and annual registrations; monitors and improves tracking and control systems; and may recommend strategies to regulatory agencies for earliest possible approvals of clinical trial applications.
