The Research Tech, Hematopoiesis will assist the Sr Rsrch Tech, Hematopoiesis in the planning and execution of experimental work in hematopoiesis related to: 1. Animal models and cell culture involving murine cell lines. 2. Morphologic analysis of tissues and cells using state-of-the-art immunohistochemical, immunofluorescence imaging technologies. 3. Gene expression analysis using PCR method. This position is responsible for TaqMan assays, protein expression analysis using Western blotting, ELISA, flow cytometry and other related technologies. This position will also be responsible for the purchasing of supplies and reagents necessary for all studies maintaining adequate stocks of all the supplies and reagents. The Research Tech, Hematopoiesis will be required to maintain detailed protocols and records of data related to executed laboratory work, organizing and maintaining the lab space, and communicating issues to the Associate Scientist, Laboratory Manager, or Department Administrative Assistant.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: 1. Bachelor\'s degree or equivalent training. 2. Minimum 3 years of relevant experience. 3. Individual must be able to work independently and have strong work ethic. 4. Required computer and organizational skills in Word, Excel and PowerPoint. 5. Must be flexible in work schedule. Must be available to occasionally come to the laboratory on a weekend day for a few hours or stay late in evenings for a given experiment. Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred: 1.
