u003Cdivu003Eu003Cstrongu003ESummaryu003C/strongu003Eu003C/divu003Eu003Cdivu003EAs an Associate Scientist at **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***., you will support the development and technology investment of cell culture manufacturing processes for recombinant protein production in the pilot scale cell culture development laboratory.u003C/divu003Eu003Cdivu003Eu003Cstrongu003EJob Descriptionu003C/strongu003Eu003C/divu003Eu003Cdivu003EThe Engineer I, Engineer I, Cell Culture Development will work in the Pilot Scale Group to conduct and document laboratory bioreactor experiments with a focus on material generation and bioreactor scale-up/modeling, assist in experimental design and troubleshooting, and analyze data. Work closely with small scale and tech transfer teams for execution of development projects. You are also responsible to support harvest activates and understand the downstream operations. Candidates must be strong team players and have an ability to collaborate effectively on complex projects. Some flexible schedule/weekend work required.u003C/divu003Eu003Cdivu003Eu003Cstrongu003EQualificationsu003C/strongu003Eu003C/divu003Eu003Cdivu003EKnowledge of mammalian cell culture/ biotechnology related development including aseptic operations, cell biology, biochemistry, analytical techniques, and bioreactor operations as applied to pilot scale stainless and disposable equipment. Proficient in working with PC based computer systems and relevant applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Knowledge of statistical applications, including DOE, is a plus. Additional computer experience and familiarity with working with various lab instruments / electronics / control systems is a plus. Individual should have excellent verbal and written communication skills; demonstrate technical proficiency and creativity, as well as excellent organizational and time management skills.u003C/divu003Eu003Cdivu003Eu003Cstrongu003EEducationu003C/strongu003Eu003C/divu003Eu003Cdivu003EB.S. in Biochemistry, Bioengineering, Biochemical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
