Associate Director, U.S. Marketing – Neurology

The Associate Director, U.S. Marketing – Neurology will play a key role in developing strategy and tactics to maximize brand potential of Soliris in gMG, given the expanded FDA indication for AchR gMG patients.  The incumbent will help re-identify and characterize the broader patient population and, in working with cross-functional partners, clearly define the strategic path to fulfill the brand’s potential.  The successful candidate will also help shape, develop, and drive the go-to-market launch plan for Soliris in Neuromyelitis Optica Spectrum Disorder (NMOSD).  The position will report to the Sr. Director, U.S. Marketing – Neurology.

Principal Responsibilities

Responsibility for continued development and deployment of Soliris gMG brand plan in the expanded labeled indication

Partner with finance, commercial operations and market research to measure initiative/tactic effectiveness, communicate results, and reshape initiatives with Neuro marketing and sales team members

Develop monthly and quarterly business review reports containing quantitative and qualitative actionable insights for senior leadership

Work cross-functionally with HEOR and Medical to ensure data gap fulfillment will be completed in a manner that is appropriate for commercial promotion

Partner with Market Access Marketing to develop and deploy and measure effectiveness of relevant initiatives, like copay assistance cards, vaccination vouchers, etc.

Responsibility for development of go-to-market launch plan for NMOSD in the US

Work with the highest degree of professionalism and in accordance with the company’s policies and Code of Ethics and Business Conduct


7 years’ of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry; with 3-5 years’ of marketing experience

Cross-functional experience in sales, commercial operations, market access highly preferable

Experience in development of marketing strategies & tactics with an in-depth understanding of ROI analyses

High business acumen knowledge; understands targeting methodologies, sales force sizing and optimization, and articulates a story through data

High cross-functional agility; ability to humbly lead through others and communicate effectively

Experience in managing a specialty/biotech product or experience working with an injectable product in the U.S. highly desirable

Experience in working with a product distributed via Specialty Pharmacy preferred

Track record of delivering strong commercial results in marketing and sales roles

Proven ability to collaborate in a matrix environment

Track record demonstrating personal initiative and the ability to overcome significant challenges

Strong personal ethics and responsibility to purpose

Ability to develop effective partnerships with key customers, manage multiple projects across functional areas, and work independently when appropriate

Strong organization, planning and prioritization skills


Bachelor's degree in a relevant field

MBA preferred
