Eurofins Lancaster Laboratories PSS is searching for a Cell Culture Support Scientist in King of Prussia, PA.
Cell Culture Support Scientist responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following :
• Routinely prepare media, solutions, buffer that involves tasks such as weighing/dispensing dry components and liquid aliquots • Supports cleaning activities for laboratory equipment • Setup, operation, and routine maintenance of bioreactors ranging in size from small volumes, 0.2 liters to 200 liters • Support a host of techniques to better understand cell culture, fermentation, purification, formulation and PAT processes and technologies • Support evaluation of different technologies spanning biopharm molecule manufacture for their potential use in development • Perform routine aseptic passaging in shake flasks as required • Recognizes and corrects errors for various laboratory operations/equipment prior to failure • Ability to troubleshoot problems and take corrective actions to solve problems or technical issues that arise within the laboratory • Support training members of the team in laboratory techniques and operation of equipment • Maintain lab supplies, equipment and order inventory • This individual will need to demonstrate the ability to meet additional requirements (i.e. standing for extended periods, moving heavy materials using safe practices, wearing necessary PPE etc.), as necessary • Maintain electronic and paper batch records • Monitor and independently act on processes to ensure consistency and reliability • Perform routine assays to evaluate key cell culture, fermentation, purification or reaction components • Record data in laboratory notebooks or in electronic lab notebooks • Support the collection, preparation, labeling, logging, delivery and appropriate storage of samples for analysis • Support purification, formulation, analytical labs or support other duties as assigned • Overall, this position requires coordinating and maintaining work schedules while exercising independent judgment. • Supports other duties as assigned • Weekend work may occasionally be required with advanced notice

• Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills • Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude • Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies
Basic Minimum Qualifications :
• Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry, Biology, Chemical/Biochemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or equivalent • 3 years Cell Culture Experience • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship Position is full-time, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m., with overtime as needed.
