SafeBridge Consultants, Inc., a subsidiary of Trinity Consultants, Inc., is a unique resource for high level safety, health and environmental support to pharmaceutical, chemical and biotechnology industries.  We currently have an opening for a Laboratory Manager at our headquarters in Mountain View, California.
 
LABORATORY MANAGER – INDUSTRIAL HYGIENE LABORATORY
 
Consider this special opportunity to join a high performing team of experienced consultants serving the occupational and environmental health and product safety needs of pharmaceutical, chemical and biotechnology companies across the country and internationally.  Look at the potential for growth and diversification in an established privately-held firm.  You will fill a key senior position in managing an analytical laboratory accredited by the American Industrial Hygiene Association - Lab Accreditation Program (AIHA-LAP) for analysis of industrial hygiene air and surface samples using HPLC techniques and has capability for analyzing air and surface samples using ELISA and LC/MS techniques.
 
Candidate should demonstrate the ability to manage multiple projects and support staff, have an advanced knowledge of these analytical methods and excellent project organization with the ability to track and meet deadlines. Strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as computer skills, are essential. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

·                     Oversight of daily laboratory operation, including assignment of current lab staff of four chemists to duties and monitoring performance of testing. Review test results to ensure quality control.
·                     Development of validated analytical methods for detection of analytes to sensitive limits of detection; Sample analyses of air and surface samples;
·                     Purchases or directs purchase of laboratory equipment and supplies, maintains inventory and instrument maintenance.
·                     Develops and implements standard operating procedures (SOPs).  Develop and maintain appropriate control and quality assurance procedures; ensure compliance with current safety requirements and AIHA-LAP accreditation.  Trains employees as needed.

·                     Project management. 

Job Requirements
Successful candidates for this position must have an MS/MA with a minimum of 8 years experience or a Ph.D. with five years of experience.    The ideal candidate has excellent interpersonal as well as written and verbal communication skills and is able to work on multiple projects while balancing changing priorities and deadlines.  Experience in the pharmaceutical, chemical, biotechnology or environmental industries is a definite advantage.
