The Cellular and Tissue Genomics Department is seeking a highly talented and motivated Senior Scientific Researcher to dissect cellular and tissue circuits regulating the tumor microenvironment. The successful candidate will implement and apply cellular immunology, single cell sequencing (cell suspension and spatially-resolved), gene editing, and mouse models to understand the molecular mechanisms underlying the complex tumor ecosystem. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual who is eager to make intellectual as well as technical contributions to our team by developing and deploying new single cell genomics tools and applying cutting edge screens to identify novel preclinical therapeutic targets and biomarkers.
Advance a combination of sophisticated pooled genetic screens to connect the genetic and molecular basis of disease
Develop in vivo
and ex vivo
systems for single and combinatorial genetic perturbations
Engineer new spatial genomics technologies
Pursue scalable tools enabling genome-wide or combinatorial high information content screens
Collaborate with AI and Bioinformatics groups as a team member for analysis and development of novel models to understand genetic circuits in health and disease.
Independently design, execute, and present studies to various forums within the department and across the wider Research organization.
Ph.D. with 2 years of relevant postdoctoral experience gaining expertise in molecular biology, immunology or immuno-oncology, scRNA-seq, spatial genomics, and high information content screens
Documented record of professional achievement demonstrated by high impact publications
Mastery of primary cell isolation, cell culture, and flow cytometry with a strong background in innate or adaptive immunity and cancer biology is preferred
Experience using CRISPR technology to study gene function through applications in vivo
, ex vivo
, and in cell lines
Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to work within a team comprised of diverse expertise
Excellent oral and written presentation skills, creative problem-solving flexibility, and the ability to integrate detailed analysis into larger disease-oriented context is required.
