The Companys leadership in the understanding of TGF-beta biology and protein engineering generates innovative compounds that engage the bodys ability to regulate cellular growth and repair.
Acceleron focuses its research and development efforts in hematologic, neuromuscular, and pulmonary diseases. In hematology, the Company and its global collaboration partner, Celgene, are developing luspatercept for the treatment of chronic anemia in myelodysplastic syndromes, beta-thalassemia, and myelofibrosis. Acceleron is also advancing its neuromuscular franchise with two distinct Myostatin agents, ACE-083 and ACE-2494, and a pulmonary program with sotatercept in pulmonary arterial hypertension.
What will you be doing?
The contract administrator will be a key member of the small legal team at Acceleron with responsibility for managing all of Acceleron’s contracting activities and serving as the hub for the inflow and outflow of all Acceleron contracts. The contract administrator will provide a high level of customer service and partner with both internal and external clients. The contract administrator will work with multiple departments at all levels of the Company, and will report to the Vice President, Legal. This person will proactively facilitate the efficient flow of legal and business activities with a focus on client service, professionalism, confidentiality, superior organizational skills, and a high level of attention to detail.
Manage the inflow and outflow of all Acceleron contracts
Coordinate requests from internal clients for various contracts and contract amendments with outside vendors and collaborators
Serve as an internal resource for questions relating to contract related matters and other matters as warranted
Maintain hard and electronic copies of contract files, track and report contract status for internal sponsors, comply with contract procedures and assure that signed contracts are accurately reflected in contract database
Provide ongoing support in day-to-day functions for legal department involving IP, contracts and other corporate governance matters
Process US and foreign patent prosecution legal documents from outside law firms
Commitment to operating in a highly regulated environment and industry, which requires understanding of the need for compliance with company policies, procedures and other relevant internal or external laws and regulations
Compile contract reports for legal due diligence
Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal

What are we looking for?
2 years of previous contract development or related experience
Previous contract or related experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech or related industry is strongly preferred
Must demonstrate a high level of proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
Bachelor’s degree preferred
