Senior Manager, U.S. Marketing – Neurology

The Senior Manager, U.S. Marketing – Neurology will play a key role in developing, implementing & measuring Alexion’s gMG strategy & tactical plan for HCPs.

The Senior Manager will be responsible for planning, implementing, measuring and evolving all HCP speaker programs, identifying and executing on national and regional congress engagements, and supporting continued development of print and digital brand assets. This position will collaborate closely with the Director, U.S. Marketing – Neurology on HCP, and will report to the Sr. Director, U.S. Neurology – Marketing

Principal Responsibilities

Support the continued development and deployment of the HCP disease & brand campaigns

Plan and execute all U.S. HCP speaker programs, including content development and budget allocations

Lead the planning and execution of U.S. congresses, including the management of external vendors and agencies

Manage and support the continued development, deployment, and inventory of brand assets (print & digital)

Collaborate closely with HCP marketing director, field sales, and thought-leader-liaisons to ensure alignment and share best practices

Manage cross-functional coordination with other Alexion line functions (e.g. clinical, medical affairs, regulatory, compliance, legal)

Communicate effectively to all levels of Alexion staff and management

Partner with the Market Research team to develop and implement research projects

Manage HCP tactical budget spend

Responsible for development and updating HCP brand guidelines, inclusive of core claims documentation

Partner closely with field sales team to gain insights, ideas and provide feedback on early-stage initiatives

Work with the highest degree of professionalism and in accordance with the company’s policies and Code of Ethics and Business Conduct


5 years’ of marketing and sales experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry; 2 years’ of marketing (client side) preferred

Experience in managing a specialty/biotech product or experience working with an injectable product in the U.S. highly desirable

Experience in working with a product distributed via Specialty Pharmacy preferred

Track record of delivering strong commercial results in marketing and sales roles

Proven ability to collaborate in a matrix environment

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Track record demonstrating personal initiative and the ability to overcome significant challenges

Strong personal ethics and responsibility to purpose

Ability to develop effective partnerships with key customers, manage multiple projects across functional areas, and work independently when appropriate

Strong organization, planning and prioritization skills


Bachelor's degree in a relevant field

MBA preferred
