Food Allergy Center of Excellence Designation
‘Specially for Children is the only children’s allergy clinic in Central Texas nationally recognized by the Food Allergy Research and Education Center, and was designated as one of 28 “Centers of Excellence” within the Food Allergy Research and Education
(FARE) Clinical Network.
FARE Clinical Network uses a rigorous application process to select Center of Excellence sites. Recipients must provide the highest possible quality of clinical and sub-speciality food allergy expertise and services while applying new evidence-based knowledge to their practice. Centers of Excellence must also demonstrate the highest standards for clinical patient care, teaching and research.

What You Will Do
As an Associate with Seton Family of Hospitals-TX, you will have the opportunity to provide medical nutrition therapy and evaluates effectiveness of treatments.
Assesses patients for nutritional status. Provides interventions/treatments including diet therapy, counseling or specialized nutrition supplements.
Collaborates with physicians, nursing and ancillary services such as speech pathology or physical therapy.
Monitors tolerance and effectiveness of nutritional regimen and recommends therapy adjustments as necessary. Provides medical nutrition therapy and evaluates effectiveness of treatments.
Provides nutrition information for the community that may include public speaking, news releases and other forms of publications.
Researches and takes initiatives to resolve nutrition care related complaints and problems.
Assists in monitoring meals including intake, diet compliance and tray accuracy. Maintains sanitation of food preparation area(s) through planned and unannounced inspections.
What You Will Need
Dietitian/Nutritionist credentialed from the
Commission on Dietetic Registration obtained within
6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
: Registered Dietitian/Registered Dietitian Nutritionist credentialed from the Commission on Dietetic Registration, at the time of hire preferred
High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Technical degree required.
Bachelors or Masters degree in Human Nutrition preferred
: 1 year of experience in Clinical Nutrition; experience in pediatrics preferred
