Demonstrates knowledge of prototyping of electromechanical and computer controlled devices. He/she interacts closely with medical/research He/she must have a strong background in programming, and electrical, mechanical, and physiologic principles and be able to utilize various data acquisition and analytic software applications as required by project. He/she has experience in R&D environment and
practical knowledge of manufacturing using lathe, milling machine, etc.
He/she has knowledge of CAD/CAM. He/she is able to effectively communicate and collaborate with non-engineers
Facilitate the design and constructions of prototypes of devices and systems for the ongoing research.
Manage the manufacturing of outsourced parts.
Fully understands appropriate utilization of financial resources.
Required Licenses, Certifications, Registrations
BLS - Basic Life Support
Required Education and Experience
Required Education: Bachelors in engineering from an accredited college or university.
Required Experience: A minimum of three years’ experience in bioengineering.
Preferred Education, Experience & Cert/Lic
Preferred Education: Bachelors in Bio/Mechanical/Industrial/Robotics engineering.
Preferred Experience: Three year’s experience in engineering firm/lab.
Additional Technical Requirements
Has programming experience in at least two major programming languages.
Has experience with basic electronics, digital data acquisition and data analysis.
Able to work manually on equipment and fabricate small components.
Able to handle confidential information appropriately.
Able to communicate in English both verbally and in writing.
Has excellent communication skills.
Has excellent project management skills.
Is able to quickly assimilate knowledge from other medical and engineering disciplines.
Is able to work independently.
Is self-motivated and an independent thinker.
