TITLE: Lab Director(Manager), Hospital

In cooperation with the Operations Directors, the Manager will function as a technical and general supervisor, maintaining involvement in the
day-to-day functions of the department to ensure reliable and cost effective delivery of customer services. The standard of ethical and
professional performance must be consistent with established medical laboratory practice and demonstrate the philosophy of the organization.
Baccalaureate degree in Medical Technology, Cytotechnology or other related laboratory health science.
MT(ASCP), MLS(ASCP) required.
2-4 years of Director/Management experience required.
4 years of working experience as a bench technologist preferred.
Six Sigma Green Belt preferred.
Ability to supervise others, make technical and ethical decisions, communicate and instruct effectively, demonstrate an interest in personal
development and make essential budget decisions. Respects confidentiality of patient data. Functions as a member of the entire laboratory
team, contributing to a positive work environment.
Person would oversee around 50 FTE's consisting of Lead Technologists, Medical Technologists, Cytotechnologists and Lab Assistants.
Facility is a large Level I Trauma Center and they service a small critical access hospital as well.
The position will pay around 75-85K depending on experience and they have an excellent benefit package and will assist in relocation.
