Role : Lab Supervisor (Cell Culture) Location : Newark, DE Shift : Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM Job Description: This candidate will supervise the cell culture production of biological products according to SOPs, customer specs and quality standards. They need to meet deadlines and production goals within the company. They will also be a working supervisor while being hands on in the lab. Qualifications: Four year science related degree 2-5 years related experience, including Lead responsibilities. Understand laboratory safety standards. Knowledge of lab services related SOPs. Knowledge of cGMP related regulations Experience working with Mammalian Cell Culture Leads team in meeting deadlines and production goals Complete documentation and communication of project progress to manager and team Informs leadership regarding variances in processes and results Coaches subordinate in their performance of functions. Job Duties and Responsibilities: -Generates reports and documents, provides technical assistance and associated information in support of internal and external clients for product manufacturing. -Informs leadership regarding variances in processes and results -Communicate all aspects of project with department head both orally and written (i.e. monthly report). -Supervision of manufacturing personnel, to include scheduling of work activities, completion of performance reviews, conducting coaching sessions, control of overtime, approval and submission of time cards and related supervisory tasks. -Revise SOPs to maintain compliance to cGMP regulations, train staff, evaluate and implement systems, document progress, advise management, and perform related tasks. -Maintain product\/material inventories, segregation of products, and other supplies. -Plan, direct and assist with creation and expansion of products and production capacities for increased revenue generation. -Assist with project planning, to include researching and evaluating equipment, materials and products, testing prototypes, collecting data, evaluating and advising on business opportunities, obtaining process improvements, and related tasks. -Must demonstrate skills in multitasking, organizational management, attention to detail, interpersonal, communications, judgment, Planning & prioritizing, Recognizing cause and effect. Interpret Instructions, Problem solving -Provide leadership to team including scheduling, training, coaching and conducting performance reviews. -Perform additional job duties necessary within manufacturing areas as assigned.
