POSITION SUMMARY:

Alkermes is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic IT Business Applications Manager to upgrade, enhance, integrate, and maintain its suite of Human Resource Management Systems (HRMS), including Oracle HCM Cloud (aka, Fusion), Taleo Business Edition, and ComplianceWire Learning Management System (LMS). The role is a member of a larger IT team covering all General and Administrative business applications.

The role is based in Waltham, MA and supports a global business.

ESSENTIAL AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

Provide management for the overall implementation and support for the Alkermes HR systems, including Oracle HCM Cloud (Core HR, Benefits, Employee Self Service, Manager Self Service, Performance, and Compensation), Taleo Business Edition (Recruiting), and ComplianceWire LMS.

Interpret complex business requirements and translate them into well-designed IT solutions. Identify and recommend opportunities for improvement. Influence strategic direction.

Effectively manage and deliver multiple, concurrent projects of varying complexity. Deliver high-quality business solutions on time and on budget.

Actively contribute to annual planning and budgeting processes.Monitor budget-to-actual performance for key projects and strategic initiatives.

Plan, manage, and evaluate the work of a team of project managers, system analysts, and application support personnel, ensuring the team is complying with defined service level agreements by aligning technical skills with business requirements.

Provide support and direction to your team members ensuring department objectives and goals are continuously met.

Mentor and motivate members of project teams and direct reports.

Enable and develop a challenging and rewarding work environment. Help all members of the team achieve their development and career aspirations. Ensure all members of the team are clear on what’s expected from them, given the right tools & support, empowered for delivery, and held accountable.

Take a leadership role in driving effective collaboration and influencing project stakeholders and team members.

Serve as a leader and change agent across IT and cross-functional project teams. Engage with others in IT and key business areas proactively to determine impacts of upcoming changes. Anticipate upcoming needs and drive continuous improvement & innovation.

Oversee relationships with external technical support providers and implementation partners.

Ensure appropriate IT processes, procedures, and standards are in place and followed.

Ensure adherence to FDA computer systems validation directives, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls, and personal data security laws (as applicable).

Experience:

3 years in a similar role and 10 years in IT.

Managing and leading complex IT projects, project management, and continuous improvement required.

Successful supervision of direct reports, indirect team members, and consultants required.

Experience with

Oracle HCM Cloud

strongly preferred.

Experience with Taleo Business Edition preferred.

Experience with learning management systems preferred. ComplianceWire is a plus.

Experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry desired.

Minimum Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

Project Management Institute (PMI) or similar certification a plus.
