SOMA - Assistant Professor of Genetics and Molecular Biology
A.T. Still University, School of Osteopathic Medicine in Arizona (ATSU-SOMA) invites applications for a full non-tenured track faculty position in genetics/cell and molecular biology at a rank commensurate with experience. The successful candidate is expected to have primary interests in teaching and curriculum development, along with an ability to work in teams with clinicians and basic scientists from other disciplines. The successful candidate will deliver discipline specific material in courses for first and second year osteopathic medical students and serve as a course director on an assigned course. Scholarly activity is expected.
ATSU-SOMA faculty members assume other responsibilities including serving on committees, interviewing student applicants, participating in faculty meetings and faculty development activities, scholarly activity, and advising students. Position includes competitive salary, benefits, and a full time faculty appointment at A.T. Still University, School of Osteopathic Medicine in Arizona.
A Ph.D. in genetics, molecular biology, cellular biology, or relevant field of study is required. Preference will be shown to candidates with experience teaching genetics/molecular biology/cellular biology.
