DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop communication platform for project plans and assist/track CEU project leaders in the process of vetting project plans with Executive, Finance, and intrexon Division program management leaders.
Assist CEU Project Leaders in dimensioning timelines and execution strategy of assigned projects.
Develop infrastructure to implement core quality system measures and manage workflow and archive documentation related to the projects.
Acts as advisor to program team regarding projects, tasks, and operations.
Ensures adherence to master plans and schedules, develops solutions to program problems, and directs work of incumbents assigned to program from various departments.
Manage the collection, archival and communication of project plans and their subsequent entry into @task.
Work with the software development group to develop the project management interface within @task.
Serve as the interface for intrexon division liaisons and CEU subject matter experts. Capture project requirements and allocate CEU resources/track priority for CEU team members.
Coordinate with both internal and external scientific resources (across multiple sites) to assist with carrying out experiments.
Effectively communicate all aspects of planning, distribute information and report out on progress.
Interface with executives for strategy and budgeting purposes.
Coordinate and manage project related activities of CEU team members.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
BS/MS/Ph.D. in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry or related area with 5 – 7 years post graduate experience.
Candidate must have at least 3 years of project management experience in a fast paced, commercial research environment, with proven track record of delivering projects on time and budget, including.
Biotechnology and/or pharma experiencec is strongly preferred.
Experience designing and coordinating production and assay verification of biotechnology components.
Experience working with interdisciplinary teams and managing several complex projects simultaneously, as well as supervising junior project managers.
Knowledge of quality systems desirable.
