Clinical Jobs description
Clinical biotech professionals assist in the organisation, management, and development of services within the specialty of expertise provided by the laboratory. They liaise with the Laboratory Consultant and the Laboratory Manager, to ensure the provision of the high quality service in an efficient and cost effective manner.Clinical biotechnology typically involves: planning, analyzing, assessing, and reporting pathology investigations; analyzing, interpreting, and reporting information and knowledge related to ideas and concepts; developing and evaluating the movement of laboratory specimens, blood, and tissues; assisting with research and development; planning, monitoring, and assuring the application of technology for measuring and monitoring pathology investigations; providing and receiving complex , sensitive, or contentious information.
The most popular career titles in clinical biotechnology are that of: clinical research administrators: responsible for clinical data entry and validation to ensure legibility, completeness, and consistency of data; clinical coordinator: coordinates the clinical development plan as outlined by the company or Clinical Department, defining objectives, strategy, and studies. Also provides support for planning, including detailed effort estimates, scheduling, and critical path analysis; clinical programmer: responsible for coordinating and monitoring the flow of clinical data into the computer database; clinical data specialist: responsible for collaborating with various departments on the design, documentation, testing and, implementation of clinical data studies. Also analyzes the interrelationships data and defines logical aspects of data sets; and clinical research associate: responsible for the design, planning, implementation, and overall direction of clinical research projects.
